Sterling Silver Eye of Horus Magical Amulet with backset 7mm gemstone. Comes with Amethyst, Topas, or Garnet. Other stones available on request. Measures 1 & 3/8" long and 1" tall. It is .25" thick. The Silver in this peice weighs 1/2 ounce. This is my own design, which I made because I was unimpressed with any of the Eye of Horus designs in the market today. This is not a flat, sheet silver piece but a heavy cast amulet modeled after the real ones that I saw in the British Museum; these were worn by Egyptian soldiers (among other devotees) on campaign and hundreds were found in Israel. The genuine gem stones are backset and form the pupil of the eye. This is the Right Eye of Horus and was worn as protection, since Isis will protect you as she protects her own son, Horus. This symbol also represents the higher aspects of Man. Every one who has one of these gets endless compliments! Measures just under an inch across.
